ISFA Hosts Chicago Public Schools Championship Boys’ Baseball Game At U.S. Cellular Field

The Illinois Sports Facilities Authority, developer, owner and operator of U.S. Cellular Field, will host Lake View High School and Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in the annual Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Championship boys’ baseball game.  Last year’s CPS champions, the Whitney Young Dolphins, won this year’s Jackie Robinson South Conference with a 15-0 record.  This year will mark the second consecutive year of participating in the CPS championship game.  The Lake View Wildcats won the Jackie Robinson North Conference with a 12-2 record.  Their last CPS title was in 1977.

WHAT:  Opportunity for B-roll, photos and interviews with members of Lake View and Whitney Young high school baseball players and fans.

NOTE:  Tickets are available to the public for $5 at Gate 5 with free parking available in Lot B.  Gate 5 opens to the public at 2:30 p.m. CT. All CPS students with a valid ID will receive free admission.
